Coromandel

After a night in Auckland, we headed for the Coromandel peninsula to check out the things to do there.  First stop was Thames for a visit to an old successful gold mine.  Then we headed up and around the coast, staying in Whitianga for a night.  We dug our own hot tubs at Hot Water Beach, speed hiked/ran to Cathedral Cove, and tried our skills at Bone Carving in Whitianga.  See Steve's slide show on Ofoto (click link below) to see the best pictures with commentary.  Click here to see all pictures from the Coromandel

Steve's Photo Album

An ecclectic collection here....taken up on the Corumandel Peninsula. From going deep into the gold mines of Thames, to digging in the sand looking for hot springs......enjoy, Steve
