I'm in process of getting my siding replaced. I have went with 1st Oregon Siding.
Let me tell you, the first day was a big mess. They tore down 2 sides of my house and didn't rewrap, thus leaving my house exposed to the elements. On top of this, they started to put Tyvek onto the house instead of R-Wrap (what was in the contract).

To their credit, they did get R-wrap onto the house the next day and covered up most of the house, except for:
The also have pounded on the walls so hard, they knocked the plaster off my nail caps in my breakfast nook. I've been reassured that this is natural and they will go back and fix them up. I'll have pictures of that here later.
