This trip is scheduled for sometime in the next month. An e-vite will go out for this trip to keep track of people, send me e-mail, and I'll add you to the list. I plan on renting the rafts from River Trails, in Maupin, Oregon. Cost of this rafting adventure will be $35.
This is a self guided rafting trip, so I need some guides. I will be
guiding, and I can train anyone else to guide (preferably someone that's rafted
this river before). This is a class 2-4 river. There are only 2
class 4 rapids (Box Car and Oak Springs). They snap a picture of you when
you go through those like the picture you see above.

By the way, you can go around this hole if you're chicken,
this is for the adrenaline junkies like me. This move basically tacos the
raft and then shoots it out. If you're not holding onto anything (1996), you'll
either end up in the back with me, or I'll be pulling you back in from the

Trip Details:
- Leave Portland in the morning and get to Maupin around 11am
- Take bus Shuttle to Harpham Flats (Put in) (You can save $4 per person if you want to do a car shuttle, but it is a bumpy road, let me know if you want to try that, because you'll need at least two cars)
- Raft 12 exciting river miles beginning at Harpham Flats and ending at Sandy Beach. You will enjoy such rapids as Devil’s Hole, Box Car, Wapinitia, Surf City, Oak Springs, White River and Elevators.
- Water fights the whole way down (bring your water weapons).
- Have lunch near Maupin City Park (bring your own lunch to put in the cooler, no glass)
- Body Surf through the rapids on Elevator Shaft.
- At the Take Out point, catch shuttle back to River Trails, change into dry clothes and head for the photo shop for Ice Cream and pictures. (One car takes last driver back to Harpham Flats for his car, if you did the car shuttle)
- Head back to Portland for dinner
